High Efficient Axial Flux Electrical Machine (HEAF)

UGent has developed a technology for an axial flux electric machine. The prototype achieves an efficiency that is around 10% p higher compared to the IE3 standard. Moreover, the machine is lightweight and has a number of other interesting features. The technology is protected by patents in which 3 independent inventions are described. Moreover, there is an important amount of know-how linked to the technology. We were already able to identify three possible applications in the market.
