Project

3D Light Trans (3D-LightTrans)

3DLT's goal is to develop a breakthrough flexible low-cost technology for 3D textile-reinforced composites in an automated production line. Hybrid yarns incorporating the thermoplastic matrix are processed into 3D textile structures. After fixation, preforms are thermoformed into composites. This technology enables a shift from cost-intensive, small series nich markets towards mass production applications in a wide range of sectors.
