Evaluation of the bioavailability and biological activity of folates from biofortified rice.
The project aims to evaluate the bioavailability and the biological activity of folates from biofortified rice. Individual folates will be determined in the blood of rats given food with or without folates and supplemented with folates. Biological activity will be evaluated in a mouse model specific for neural tube defects.
