Towards a Critical Posthuman Aesthetic: A Performance-Philosophical Research into the Configuration of Posthuman Figures on the Contemporary Stage of Kris Verdonck

contemporary performing arts reflect on posthumanism and how they can communicate a critique of humanism. An analysis of Belgian artist Kris Verdonck’s performances, focussing on three aspects of posthumanism - the dehumanized figure, dematerialized performers, acting objects and human enhacement.
