Toward a Hermeneutic Approach to literate practices in Northern European Reformed Monasticism, 1000-1200.

The applicants plan to use the fellowship period to collaborate on developing a new approach to the problem of literate activity in northern European monastic communities, particularly those associated with vartious reform initiatives.
