The identification of the techniques of medieval and Renaissance wall paintings in the Low Countries - Necessity of this knowledge for cultural heritage management and conservation practice.

In this study binding media of approximately 100 samples of about 20 wall paintingsU+2019 sites in Low Countries, dated between c. 1300 and 1600, will be identified. The study aims to give a first view on wall paintingsU+2019 techniques. The necessity of these results for conservation practice will be underlined.
