The use of the black soldier fly as high-quality protein source in broiler feed

The present project aims at the introduction of prep caps of black soldiers fly (hermetia illucens) as a new, high-quality, sustainable protein source in broiler feed. The nutritional value of the soldiers prep caps from the black fly, grown on grocery store waste, is accurately determined. Based on this high-grade formulated broiler feeds on the basis of prep headers and produced. Prep Open be added to compound feed, or be given as an additional feed. The impact of the new food on the meat quality (taste, smell and color) of the broiler is evaluated.
