Study of glycated protein as a marker for diabetes in Central Africa

The possibilities are explored to use glycation of fingernail keratins as an alternative and affordable biomarker for detection and monitoring of diabetes. Classical diagnostic markers (glucose, HbA1c) are difficult to use in an African context.
