Mountain Stream Dynamics in the Northern Ethiopian Highlands as Impacted by Land Cover/Use Changes and Rainfall Variability

This study will link land cover/use changes and rainfall variability to stream dynamics in the Kira-kahsu catchment in Northern Ethiopia. The catchment shows a dramatic increase in vegetation cover as a result of conversation activities. Since mountain streams are strongly reactive to changes in their environment, the changes in vegetation cover of the catchment have brought about changes in stream dynamics.
