The currently known plane wave methods are all numerically unstable or computationally suboptimal

The currently known plane wave methods are all numerically unstable or computationally suboptimal. Starting from techniques developed in the Ph.D. of the applicant, research will focus on finding a method that is both efficient and numerically stable. At the same time, possibilities for preconditioning plane wave methods will be explored.
