Optimization of flexibility in a powertrain by means of virtual engineering (OPTIFLEX)

General purpose
Recent developments make it possible to use light and flexible components for fast moving machine parts. In this way material, cost and energy savings can be achieved without sacrificing productivity
and quality. On the one hand, innovative simulation and optimization options within CAD tools can reduce the impact of
precisely quantify material savings and component choices on the flexible behavior. On the other hand, recent research shows that
it is possible to optimize the speed course and drive settings to minimize the impact of flexibilities.
