A portable device for monitoring vital signs of a person, said device (102) comprising: a first wearable sensor unit (110) comprising a first electrode (114) arranged to be electrically coupled to a first limb; a second wearable sensor unit (120) comprising a second electrode (124) arranged to be electrically coupled to a second limb; wherein the first wearable sensor unit (110) and the second wearable sensor unit (120) are wiredly connected for allowing an electrocardiogram, ECG, of the person to be acquired; and wherein at least one of the first and the second wearable sensor unit (110; 120) further comprises an oximetry sensor (116; 126) arranged on the carrier (112; 122), said oximetry sensor (116; 126) including a light source (116a; 126a) for transmitting light towards the limb and a detector (116b; 126b) for detecting light being transmitted through or reflected by the limb.
