Disease-associated proteome alternations in semantic variant primary progressive aphasia.

To gain insight into semantic variant primary progressive aphasia (SV PPA), we will study protein changes via mass spectrometry on tissue of SV PPA. Both brain regions that are affected at an early or late stage of the disease will be examined. In the longer term, this research will contribute to the development of new clinical diagnostic markers as well as to the development of targeted therapies.
