Project

IIoTSBOM

Over the next three years, IIoTSBOM wants to help at least twenty Flemish production companies, mainly manufacturing companies, to innovate with CyberSecurity by better securing their connected technological products and providing them with a Security Bill of Materials. Closer collaboration with CyberSecurity experts from their own organization and external
research centers and CyberSecurity specialists will guide them in the process to better position and differentiate their products and services thanks to CyberSecurity.
Not only the development, but especially the correct use of IIoT security technology requires extensive expertise in
security and embedded systems. As a company it is often a challenge to understand the different evolutions in IIoT cybersecurity
enough to get a picture of, or to identify the most relevant ones. Various technological innovations are still relative
unknown and are mainly covered at an academic level, but offer a lot of opportunities for industrial
applications (IIoT) and in many cases a lot of opportunities for existing (and future) cybersecurity challenges in IIoT.
