Several projects regarding the pathogenesis, management and outcomes of selective fetal growth restriction (sFGR) will be carried out during the PhD period starting December 2021. The PhD is organised as a joint PhD between the LUMC, the UZ Leuven and the Karolinska University Hospital. The projects involve the following: retrospective multicenter cohort study on outcome and management strategies at the three centers, prospective evaluation of additional ultrasound parameters and extensive histological examination of sFGR placentas with long-term follow-up of neurological impairment of sFGR twins.
