Direct quantification of virus-cell interactions in a biosafety level 3 laboratory

Objective of this project is to equip biosafety level 3 laboratory with an instrument capable of performing long term observations and analysis of live cells. The instrument will be used for development and implementation of viro-immune assays to be used in collaboration with industrial partners as well as to boost the output of applied research projects performed on site. This will allow to increase the patent portfolio for the existing and planned projects. No such device is currently operating within L3 laboratory in Flanders and we expect it to boost local infectious disease biotech sector.
