European network for global cooperation in the field of AIDS & TB (EUCO-NET)

To contribute to the implementation of and enhance ICPC participation in the 7th Framework Programme in the areas of HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis research. By bringing leading scientists from around the world together and have them jointly decide upon the most important and most urgent research topics that have to be addressed in this field, EUCO-Net will support other international efforts addressing HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and AIDS/TB co-infection, contribute to the UN Millennium Development Goals, and support the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) programme which focuses on advance clinical testing for the development of new vaccines, microbicides and drugs against HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis in sub-Saharan Africa.
