A morphology based integrated approach for urban sprawl management to support sustainable cities (SDG11)

The advancement in technology has allowed cities to use digital twin and geospatial technology to achieve the ambitious SDGs for sustainable smart city development. The main objective of this study is to investigate the smart city vision into a reality using Digital Twin Technology and Geospatial modelling supporting SDG 11. The study will involve active engagement of stakeholders from extended geographical territories along with on-site observations and remotely sensed data across diverse geographic locations and different timelines using Earth Observation data sets. The outcome of the study will contribute to policy frameworks and governance modelling in designing sustainable smart cities.
