Pilot projects work-to-work transitions (10480)

The project aims to develop a holistic approach to sustainably support transitions of vulnerable employees to another employer. On the basis of six living labs we want to gain an insight into methodologies and models that, in the context of these transitions, can mean added value for the employees, the employers and society. The objective is to avoid a situation where these vulnerable employees first become unemployed and then have to look for another job. A pilot project is being carried out at Brussels Airport, among other places, in cooperation with the Aviato employment center. By decreasing employment, a shift must occur from 'attracting job-seekers to the airport' to 'keeping everyone who works at the airport employed, if possible in another job or sector'. In addition, efforts are being made to set up pilot projects from other sectors; these are always sectors that are facing great difficulties in keeping all employees and for which a proactive reallocation to another job, company and/or sector is indicated. HIVA is responsible for the external, scientific evaluation aimed at identifying critical success factors and formulating solutions (lessons learned) for detected bottlenecks in the organization and support of preventive work-to-work routes for vulnerable employees who will not be able to keep their jobs.
