REDRAFT - Robot-assistED intRauterine Augmented FeToscopy

REDRAFT will develop a real-time 3D navigation system with haptic guidance to augment robotic TTTS surgery. The solution will be verified in a new highly realistic mixed reality TTTS simulation environment. In close collaboration with key opinion leaders in fetal surgery the system will be optimized to ensure safe, intuitive, and precise navigation and robot-assisted ablation. In a subsequent stage of the research in-vivo animal validation will be conducted upon receiving ethical approval for such study. As such REDRAFT could greatly reduce the difficulties of the procedure, increase the safety of the procedure and impact patient outcomes.
