Cultural differences in emotional connectedness

This PhD project is focused on the interplay between culture and emotions, in particular in emotional connectedness. We will study these dynamics in different types of dyads, such as couples (Belgium and Japan), mothers and daughters (Belgium and Japan) and leader-follower pairs (Belgium and China). We expect that emotional dynamics, in relation to relationship goals and wellbeing, vary between cultures. As part of the Re-Connect project, there will be a strong focus on emotional connectedness and methodology to assess this.
