Novel biopesticide compounds from agricultural byproducts (AIR)

This project aims to deliver additional data for a patent application about the defence activation effect of specific botanical extracts belonging to a specific plant family against plant pathogenic bacteria, fungi and nematodes. The spectrum of activity will be evaluated for different plant extracts and a proof of concept in the field will be realized. Also, a valorization strategy will be developed in which we will identify interesting industrial partners for licensing and to continue a collaborative research project on this topic.
