The novel and mild RCF lignocellulose biorefinery and the use of RCF lignin in thermosets
The research is situated in the conversion of lignocellulose to bio-based chemicals via the biorefinery concept reductive catalytic fractionation (RCF) and the application of the obtained products. The research objective is to produce a low molecular weight, functionalized lignin amenable for thermoset applications via a mild variation of the Reductive Catalytic Fractionation process using pelletized catalysts.
