Social relationships as a context for academic and psychosocial development in schools: Examining diverse student populations

This PhD project studies the psychosocial, motivational and academic development of children and adolescents in the school context. The role of social relationships in this development is examined. Social relationships are defined as relationships and interactions with teachers, peers and parents. Both general student populations and target groups with specific educational needs are examined. Special attention is paid to the target group of cognitively gifted students. Existing longitudinal datasets and newly collected data will be used. The concrete implementation will be determined in further consultation between the supervisor and PhD student.
