Project

Hydrogen for anyone, anywhereStrengthening the intellectual property position for the valorization of hydrogen panel technology

Hydrogen panels are a KU Leuven invention. These autonomous panels produce hydrogen by splitting water molecules captured from ambient air using sunlight as energy source. The purpose of this IOF mandate is to expand IP protection to include specific designs and fabrication processes to complement the already protected inventions of processes and devices for hydrogen production out of water from atmospheric air. Investigation of the freedom to operate is a second task.
