Resource allocation decisions of entrepreneurs

The growth path of young ventures is resource demanding. Due to the restriction of limited resources, entrepreneurs must decide the best way to allocate them towards different purposes, including R&D, international expansion, their compensation, among others. This decision implies a trade-off: allocating more resources to ends that pursue growth or assigning them for remuneration. Given the relevance that young ventures growth represents for the overall economy, understanding the determinants of the entrepreneurs' decisions for allocating their limited resources and the impact of such allocation are crucial aspects for addressing adequate policies.
