AI by Example, a knowledge platform for smart supply chain and inventory management in the food sector (R-11410)

Abstract in ENG: The project aims to reduce uncertainty, confusion and unfamiliarity that still surrounds Artificial Intelligence. As indicated by the title 'Ai by Example', the project gives concrete use cases and examples of where and how AI can be used to solve specific business problems. Simultaneously, we translate abstract, technical concepts from academic literature into a language that is understandable and applicable to Flemish SMEs in the food industry. After all, we are convinced that most of these companies do not yet fully realise that they already possess or have access to many of the capabilities that are needed for a successful AI implementation. The goal of this project is to help companies realise this potential. Technology partners - ERP providers and AI providers – will be involved throughout the project, with the aim of getting a higher degree of synchronisation between technology providers and the needs of an SME.
