Project

Developing a sustainable aquaculture in Ethiopia as part of nutrient-sensitive agriculture.

Fish is a valuable source of high-quality protein, fat, vitamins and minerals, yet underused in Ethiopia. We investigate the impact of species, the parts eaten and the environmental factors on the nutritive value of fish in the human diet. Unexploited waste streams are evaluated as fish feed resources in function of human malnutrition.
