Subtitle:critical approaches

This is an introductory article to the monographic section "Digital Humanities and Literary Studies: Critical Approaches" that I have coordinated for the journal 452F: Journal of Literary Theory and Comparative Literature. I introduce the field in general, state the importance of developing it in languages other than English, and introduce the articles that are included in the issue.
