Dynamics of team learning and development in blended work environments

Over the past decades, our way of working has changed dramatically. The COVID-19 crisis has highlighted the need for flexibility, e.g., in a strong increase in telework. This has triggered many organisations to think about sustainably integrating remote and flexible work in their future policy. Organisations are predicted to increasingly become (or stay) blended work environments where remote and office work are flexibly combined. This has major consequences for how our own work is organised, but also for how we collaborate with colleagues. Volatile blended work environments challenge traditional team conceptions and require teams to adapt to various new situations, collaborating both face-to-face and virtually. This project aims to investigate the dynamics of team learning and how we can support teams in becoming adaptive entities wherein both members and the team flourish.
