Behavioral study of performance-based budgeting: Indonesia experience
Amid the dilemma of practitioners and academicians on the future of performance-based budgeting as a better allocation decision making concept, the research is trying to shed light on the problem and advance our understanding of behavioral finance/public administration lens as a novelty. It also potentially could strengthen the implementation of performance budgeting as a principal innovation in public finance. Employing a mixed-method and will be analyzed with related theory. The research will investigate the Indonesian budgeting system as locus research. Besides, as late countries implementing performance-based budgeting, the government seriously and continuously improves its implementation quality.
