The development of future-oriented fossil-free energy concepts for clusters in various (Flemish) settings and environments

The aim of this PhD is to develop a pre-design tool that selects, sizes and hydraulically connects energy concepts. In a first qualitative part of this research context-integrated Clean Cluster Concepts (C³) will be determined. In the second part these energy concepts will be quantified. The buildings will be clustered, the different technologies will be dimensioned, the hydraulic scheme (with accompanying optimal control) will be determined and a sensitivity analysis will be done to investigate the effect of thermal energy storage.
