Labour Market implications of circular textiles in the Netherlands (TEXTIEL)

HIVA will be in charge of quantifying the employment effects of 3 scenarios for the textiles industry to inform the transition pathway's choice that would open up job opportunities in the Netherlands. Moreover, HIVA contributes to the development of the three final scenarios, based on the proposal made by Circle Economy, and validated by the textiles industry stakeholders. The employment effects are calculated with an Input-Output model, for which Circle Economy provides the data used for the calculations, specifically for material flows and jobs for the industrial sectors selected as part of the textiles industry.
