State-of-the-art nonlinear microwave and millimeter wave measurements

To achieve high-speed wireless communications, it is essential to study and reduce the impact of the nonlinear behaviour of hardware blocks in microwave and millimeter wave transmitters. The measurement equipment at KU Leuven to achieve such characterizations is the nonlinear network analyzer. In recent years, the instrument manufacturer has released new hardware and software add-ons to be aligned with the overall evolution in emerging wireless communications, such as the adoption of very broadband modulations. The aim is to add a selection of these recent add-ons such that the on-going and recently approved research projects in the consortium can benefit from the advanced characterization capabilities.
