Project
Mobility and Physical Activity in patients with respiratory disorders
This PhD has the goal to evaluate the mobility and physical activity in patients suffering from respiratory conditions. The research is part of the European Mobilise-D project. The purpose of this project is to evaluate the value of new 'digital mobility' outcomes for follow-up in patients who suffer from different chronic conditions, such as COPD, Parkinson, Multiple Sclerosis and patients with femur fractures. This PhD will focus on the follow-up of a large group of COPD patients. In this subgroup will be focused on the predictive value of mobility in predicting an exacerbation. Different mobility outcomes will be researched and will demonstrate an up-to-date view of the importance of mobility in this patient group. There will also be measurements of function and mobility within COVID-19 populations in the first phase of the EU-project.
