N-ERD PROJECT 2020: Paving the Future for Better and Cost-effective Care for Severe CRSwNP Patients

The first aim of this research project is to demonstrate the superiority of nasal LAS challenge in diagnosing N-ERD patients using both objective and subjective criteria. The sensitivity and specificity of LAS challenge will be determined, and allow this challenge test to be used as a tool for better diagnosis of CRSwNP. The second aim of this research project is to demonstrate the efficacy of nasal LAS treatment of N-ERD patients in the first large-scale double-blinded randomized controlled trial. This scientific approach will make it possible to include this therapy in international treatment guidelines based on 'evidence-based medicine'.
