Project

Remediating the collaborative storytelling workshop into digital mediated spaces

The concept of a workshop refers to an arrangement whereby a group of people learn, acquire new knowledge, perform creative problem-solving, or innovate in relation to a domain-specific issue. In this project we will explore how to perform digital storytelling workshops within the context of Networked and Programmable Media. Based on historical art workshop practices, critical media thinking and game design methods, we will develop workshops within three types of technological environments that can be turned into communal spaces: networked, augmented and virtual spaces. In order to modify the mechanics and output of my workshops, I will explore, create and modify algorithms. Those rulesets, together with the user/participant experience, are the main materiality of what I consider my art practice and study.
