Tailoring tri-component composite materials as positive electrodes for advanced energy storage devices

This project will develop of highly stable positive electrode materials with a high charge storage capability, a fast charge-discharge rate and an improved rate capability performance. This will be achieved through structural, morphological and composition tuning of tri-component materials where merits of each constituent will be synergistically optimized to give electrode materials with excellent electrochemical properties. We will study the composition-structure-property relationships along with their influence on charge storage phenomena through different physico-chemical characterization techniques.
