Catalogue of Risks of Biometric Data use and Assessment of Protective Technical Measures

This research will list and qualify the various risks of the processing of current and new biometric data, in present and future applications. Such comprehensive risk qualification based on the progress of technology is needed, and also in view of the new deployments. These risks mirror values which will be identified as of importance in todays and future society. This catalogue can be deployed in any further data protection assessments required by law, whether for assisting supervisory authorities or controllers and processors of applications. This analysis will further be used to identify protective measures and data protection by design and to review and assess current and future technical protective measures.
