Error-Correcting Microarchitectures for Spin Qubit Quantum Computing

The PhD position is a research position inside a larger project of imec vzw. The aim of the project is to build large-scale quantum computing systems of the future and use these for potential applications. The place of the PhD in this project is to explore existing silicon quantum computing device prototypes, benchmark their performance when implemented in large-scale architectures and then design efficient strategies to implement basic quantum computing algorithms on the prototypes. The tasks are focused on modeling and design at the quantum systems and architectural level. This includes leveraging input from and being a liaison between internal staff and collaborators spanning a broad range of fields.
