Improving space weather predictions by the inclusion of CME flux rope models in the heliospheric and CME evolution model EUHFORIA
Implementation of a new CME flux-rope model(s) in EUHFORIA, including testing and validation. Event studies using these new CME models, including complex CME-CME events. Study and quantification of the evolution (erosion, deformation, deflection) of CMEs due to interaction with the background solar wind and, in particular, fast solar wind streams and CIRs. Coupling of EUHFORIA to magnetospheric model to quantify the geo-effectiveness of CMEs and multiple CMEs.
