Sabbatical Rajesh Heynickx: Intellectual Hinterlands of Architectural Modernism

I have been brooding for a long time on a monograph (working title: "Intellectual Hinterlands of Architectural Modernism") of which some sub-components have already been completed / published. I need time and continuity to realize this book (the starting point was in my never completed FWO postdoc: I abruptly started teaching my second year at the then Sint Lucas). The Sabbath would allow me to write / compile the book + to do additional research in foreign archives. I also want to be able to test / present certain intermediate results in foreign research groups via short, focused stays there (including Princeton History Department, ETH and UCLL London). –I want to devise / furnish a new research project (exploration of literature archives), centered around the problem of "Architecture and loneliness" and more specifically to zoom in on spaces that are used for intellectual / artistic work and where isolation is important. (eg in writing rooms or "philosophers' cabins") FWO work allowance will be applied for.
