CIRCULAR USE OF STEP-GROWTH END-OF-LIFE POLYMERS FOR MONOMER/OLIGOMER RECOVERY AND RE-USE (R-10928)
In order to increase the reusability of the carbon skeletons of major condensation polymers, we look for catalysts and reaction proceduresthat allow to upcycle a larger fraction of the waste polymer mass to higher value polymers and monomers. Our strategy comprises catalyzed depolymerization at lower temperature, efficient model-assisted repolymerisation, one-pot polymer-to-polymer transformations, and upcycling of less valuable monomers to higher value compounds.
