Urbanization and socio-spatial changes in the East African city, Addis Ababa

The PhD research focuses on analyzing the history of urbanization, key actors, their roles and power relations, and the institutional contexts of urban land use dynamics. Moreover, it extends to investigate the livelihood outcomes of the land use dynamics (slum clearance and displacement), and its implications on the socio-spatial changes of Addis Ababa.
