Research Expertise:Biotechnologist with a Master in Health Biotechnology. PhD in Nanoscience, Materials and Chemical Engineering. Expertise in the development of electrochemical sensors for the detection of relevant ions (such as potassium, sodium or chloride among others) and biomolecules (such as glucose, creatinine or explosives) related with different diseases or surveillance. Except for explosives, the aforementioned analytes of interest can be found in biological fluids, so I have experience in working with biological samples such as sweat, urine, blood and plasma. Potentiometric, amperometric and voltammetric techniques have been used as readout of the developed sensors in different configurations: wearable, patch, microneedles, microfluidic cells, paper-based sensors, etc.
