Sabbatical Axel Liégeois: Finalisation of publications

The purpose of this sabbatical is to complete publications that are at various stages of completion. (1) Values in dialogue. The objective is the edition of my “Values in dialogue: ethics in healthcare” (Leuven, 2019) in English and French by scientific publishers, respectively “Cambridge Scholars Publishing” and “Sauramps Médical”. (2) Zinzorg and pastoral care. The aim here is to realize four publications based on the doctoral projects of Dorien Veltens on “Phrase care and pastoral care for people with intellectual disabilities”, and of Jana Binon on “Phrase care and pastoral care for people with severe mental illness (EPA)”. The publications are produced in collaboration with them. On the one hand, after revision, the doctoral projects are published in two Dutch-language books in the "Leuven Studies in Practical Theology" series. Based on this revision, an English-language article for each doctoral project is published in an IT journal, respectively. in “Journal of Disability and Religion”, and in “Journal of Spirituality in Mental Health.” (3) Interference and Competence. The aim is to produce four publications on this subject. The first two publications are revisions of own Dutch texts to two English-language articles in IT journals in the field of psychiatry, namely “The British Journal of Psychiatry” and “JAMA Psychiatry”. The last two articles are a collaboration with a group of Dutch psychiatrists from the Parnassia Group (largest provider of mental health care in the Netherlands) about outreaching and meddling in the IT magazine “Tijdschrift voor Psychiatrie.” (4) Professional ethics for pastors. The aim here is to prepare a Dutch and an English book about the pastor's professional ethics. The publication itself is not feasible within the sabbatical, but it is possible to start revising existing texts on this subject and writing new chapters.
