Ultra-low-voltage ultra-low-power processor design using FinFet technology

In this work we will be designing, implementing and optimizing an ultra-low-voltage ultra-low-power microprocessor based on FinFet transistor technology, specifically the 16nm node. FinFet technology has proven to be successful in achieving significantly higher performance and is being used in state-of-the-art products. However, great potential is also to be realized in meeting ultra-low power consumption and area demands, which, for example, are a must in the case of IoT devices and technologies. The design will be focused on circuit-level optimization for low power, and different techniques and logic families (e.g. CMOS, transmission gates, etc.) will be considered, in order to achieve the best results.
