The Dutch Revolt Began 450 Years Ago. William of Orange and the Wilhelmus Still Alive and Kicking

Dutch pupils in primary and secondary school are taught once again about their national anthem, the Wilhelmus. According to Dutch politicians this song transmits national values that are proper to the Netherlands. However, this approach is a-historical one.
