AutoSENSE: Automated driving Scenario Synthesis and Evaluation

The safety aspect is one of the main challenges in the road map towards highly automated vehicles. The verification and validation of these systems is not straightforward due to the high coverage requirement. Therefore, simulations combined with a large set of traffic scenarios seem to be unavoidable. In this research project, the goal is to develop a method for generating and evaluating high-fidelity synthetic scenarios. These scenarios can be used in simulations for testing and/or validating of automated vehicles.
