Smartscreen: smart digital screens for targeted advertisements and communication

Advertisements are increasingly being personalized. In this project we do not want to personalize advertisements and information online but offline. We will do this by linking image recognition to digital advertising boards: by using visual detection software, we can adjust the information on the screen to the consumer in front of that screen. Thanks to a camera that records who is in front of the information board, we will automatically be able to recognize gender, age category, clothing type, visible brand logos, etc. With this research we want to find an answer to the following question: how can we use algorithms for person and object detection improve so that we can reliably divide people in front of a digital screen into relevant target groups?
